(Business in Cameroon) – Vodafone Cameroon has just signed a network sharing agreement with Cameroon Telecommunications (CAMTEL), the national telecoms operator in the country. This agreement, we learned officially, will allow Vodafone to extend its services to all 10 regions in Cameroon.

Thanks to a franchise agreement concluded with the company Northwave Sarl, 100% owned by Afrimax Group, Vodafone Cameroon provides 4G LTE services in the cities of Yaoundé and Douala, which alone represent more than 80% of the telecoms market in Cameroon.

The network sharing agreement with CAMTEL will offer this operator the possibility of acquiring larger market share, and thus increasing its penetration rate in high speed internet in Cameroon.
